The National Honor Society (NHS) and National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)
The importance of a well-rounded development for young men and women has been recognized by the National Association of Secondary Principals since 1921, when the National Honor Society was first founded. This organization has now grown to over 12,000 chapters throughout the globe. The National Junior Honor Society began eight years later, in 1929. It has grown to over 6,000 chapters worldwide. Escuela Bella Vista has been a member of this organization for over 20 years.
At Escuela Bella Vista, the National Honor Society and the National Junior Honor Society leads to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to help develop character and citizenship in all our students. Membership in the National Honor Society and The National Junior Honor Society signifies that a student has achieved a high level of academic excellence as well as a strong commitment to service and leadership activities in school and in the community.
